FSB Pants event – Huddersfield Mission

Over the past few years I’ve organised our FSB Pants networking event for the Huddersfield Mission – asking people to bring (new) pants & socks to be given to their service users (understandably they can’t accept second-hand underwear).

They have been enjoyable events where we enjoyed a mince pie (or three in my case) and get together with our Christmas jumpers.

For obvious reasons we’re not able to hold the Pants event this year. Plus they are overrun with clothes donations atm – please wait until spring before you offload any more.

However if you would like to do a nice thing this Christmas, please help to support the Mission and the amazing work they do for the homeless and vulnerable across the Huddersfield and Kirklees area, by donating to their public appeal – which will be match funded (provided they raise £10k!)

If you would like to find out more about the Huddersfield Mission, the work they do and how they have had to COMPLETELY change the way they offer their service due to the impact of the pandemic, please contact the centre – however remember they too are having to work from home and have had to shut their doors to the public.

Thank you in advance.

Homelessness has not gone away.
